Privacy Policy

VibeCheck Cup ("the App") is a web toy built by Muninn Cognition. The short version: your face never leaves your device. This page explains what that means in detail.

What we do NOT collect

• No video. Camera frames are processed in your browser and discarded.
• No photos of you. A small selfie may be drawn into your in-app share card, but it stays on your device unless you choose to share it.
• No biometric data. We do not run face recognition, identification, or any model that produces a faceprint.
• No accounts, no email, no passwords. The App has no login.
• No cross-site tracking. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers for marketing.

What we DO collect

We use Vercel Web Analytics (privacy-friendly, cookieless) to understand how the App is used. The events we record are:

• Session events: start, camera granted/denied, restart, share, feedback rating.
• Per-prompt events: which prompt was shown (text of the prompt, first 80 characters), whether you used the camera or the tap fallback, whether a reaction was detected, and bucketed reaction strength (none / low / mid / high) and sentiment (positive / neutral / negative). We do not store raw intensity numbers.
• Outcome summary: your chaos rating, persona, and predicted champion.
• Aggregated request data Vercel collects automatically: approximate country, browser, OS, referrer. IP addresses are not stored.

If you submit feedback

The optional feedback form is hosted by Tally. If you fill it out, your responses are stored by Tally and visible to us. Don't submit anything you wouldn't want us to read.

If you share your bracket

When you tap "Share my bracket," the App renders an image on your device and hands it to your operating system's share sheet (or to X / WhatsApp / your clipboard). What happens after that is up to you and the destination service.

Camera permission

If you grant camera access, the App opens a local video stream and analyzes the pixel-level motion of consecutive frames to estimate reaction intensity. The stream is stopped as soon as the 12 prompts are complete. No frames are uploaded, ever.

Third-party services we load

• Vercel — hosting and analytics (the App itself).
• Google Fonts — typography (Google may log your IP address when fonts are requested).
• Tally — loaded only if you open the optional feedback form.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

Your rights

Because we don't store any data tied to you personally, there's nothing to request, export, or delete on a per-user basis. If you have questions, email privacy@muninncognition.com.

Changes

If we change this policy, the effective date above will be updated. Material changes will be flagged on the App itself.
